Low Cost And Easy Ways To Help Us!
Typically only 20% of people who drop off wildlife for rehabilitaton make a donation. In addition we do pro bono education programs every year for low income groups.
We understand that not everyone has cash to donate, or feels comfortable giving cash. There are many ways you can support us that wont cripple your pocket book. Every penny counts!
Our budget is $10,000 per year to serve about 75 rescued animals and provide materials for classes. Our largest expenses are formula, grow out foods, and veterinary expenses.
We are a 501c3 non- profit EIN# 47-4201724 . All “staff” including myself (Ame) as executive director, board members, volunteers, and interns work without pay. The only exception is our veterinarian who receives payment for services and the costs of medical and preventative treatment.

SHARE OUR BLOG POSTS
This helps us to fulfill our mission to educate and raise awareness. In addtion, it helps us raise money through Affiliate Marketing (see below). I post blogs on the website and share them via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
We actually have four blogs to represent the areas we specialize in:

Wildlife Conservation and Rehabilitation
WHAT IS AFFILATE MARKETING AND HOW DOES IT HELP FOX RUN?
Affiliate marketing is a referral processes that major stores such as Amazon, use to get customers on their store website. When you enter one of these stores through our website and make a purchase we earn a referral fee. This is anywhere from 2 - 8% of the total purchase based on category.
It costs you NOTHING EXTRA as the referral fees are paid by the company. Just go on our website and enter the store through one of our links. I recommend products that I have used or specials I think you would benefit from. However, you don’t have to purchase what you linked on - purchase whatever you need.
YOUTUBE CHANNEL - LIKE, SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE
This is another way that we use media to educate and raise awareness. Our goal is to get to 1000 subscribers which is a threshold that YouTube sets to be monotized. Yes, our videos are a little rough around the edges and I personally am still working on being comfortable in front of the camera! But practice makes perfect and we hope you will grow with us.
I have a long list of video ideas in gardening, green building, and wildlife conservation that I hope to make. I will be doing more updates on wildlife, continuing the Stories With Animals series, and for 2021 I will be making a new series on organic gardening. Let me know your suggestions.
AMAZON SMILES
We are also in the Amazon Smiles program. (Yes, Amazon has a lot of programs to help non-profits) Amazon Smiles is its own mirror website that contains all the same products. However, it allows customers to sign up for a non-profit. Amazon then donates .05 % of your purchase to your selected charity. There is no cost to the consumer. Just type in Fox Run Environmental Education Center in the drop down box for charities and then bookmark your page.
Volunteer Information
Application link at bottom of page.
WILDLIFE REHABILITATION:
Wildlife volunteers make a commitment to serve a three-hour shift each week. This is a dedicated position. Volunteering does not mean playing with wild animals.
There is minimal animal contact and there is a potential for bites, diseases, and parasites. Only serious, dedicated people need apply. Be aware that you must be 18 years or older to actively handle wildlife in our care.
All volunteers must be up to date on their tetanus shot and those volunteers who work with rabies vector species such as raccoons, fox and skunks must have their rabies pre-exposure vaccine series at your expense. Non-rabies animals include opossums, squirrels, fawns, and groundhogs.
Volunteer Training (on-farm in spring) is a prerequisite to volunteering with wildlife.
Wildlife volunteers clean cages, clean work areas, wash dishes, take the laundry in, prepare foods/formula, feed baby animals, help provide natural experiences for wildlife and assist with medical procedures. It is hard work but very rewarding.
Volunteer Perks:
The knowledge you are helping save animals,
Fresh produce from the garden!
Classes and Events are free if you help out.
